Bridget Ferrari, Associate Director, Responsible Sourcing; Takeda Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd.

Bridget has worked for Takeda Pharmaceuticals (and Shire prior to acquisition) since June 2017 in Ethical Sourcing & Supplier Risk Management. Bridget is currently leading the development of Scope 3 Reduction Strategy. She has extensive experience in developing Sustainable Supply Chain programs, with specific experience in Scope 3 and Human Rights. Bridget started her career in Strategic Sourcing, eventually working in a variety of industries, including biotech, renewable energy and high tech. She's managed direct and indirect goods and services. She was asked to start the US Sustainable Supply Chain program as an additional responsibility and found her true calling. Bridget is particularly passionate about pushing the idea that sustainability is a key business strategy and differentiator. It's not just the right thing to do, it's a strategic imperative.

Bridget has an undergraduate from Arizona State University in International Business and French, an MBA (finance) from Bentley University and a Masters in International Relations from Northeastern. Bridget is currently completing a certificate in Sustainability and Business Innovation from Harvard Extension School.

Bridget lives in the Boston suburbs with her husband and 4 kids (12 year old son, 10 year old daughter and twin 7 year old daughters). She enjoys running, reading, studying and coaching her kids soccer teams when they don't need high-skilled coaches.
