Debbie Heuckeroth, P.E., Manager, Environmental Health, Safety & Sustainability; Johnson & Johnson Consumer Health

Debbie Heuckeroth is Manager, Environmental Health, Safety & Sustainability at Johnson & Johnson (J&J) Consumer Health in Fort Washington. She joined J&J in 2016 as environmental lead for the site, and since then has thrived in her role as part of a diverse team of EHS&S professionals, enjoying the learnings and growth that are provided by sharing perspectives across sites and backgrounds. She is a member of the Site Leadership Team and champions a culture of collaboration and cross-functional learning. One way she has fostered collaboration is through the site's Integrated Ownership of Safety Systems (IOSS) program which brings together Plant, R&D, Engineering & Property Services and Home Office personnel.

Prior to joining J&J, Debbie worked at Lafayette Environmental Consulting as an independent consultant, providing services to General Electric (GE) and Arkema (a multinational chemical manufacturer). She assisted GE's corporate EHS group with sustainability reporting and environmental management systems, and assisted with environmental compliance and risk reduction at GE's Energy Storage and Water & Process Technologies businesses. She audited facilities in North America, Europe, Asia and Africa, and assisted in strategic decision-making related to qualification of third-party chemical manufacturers, terminals, warehouses and waste vendors. Earlier in her career, she worked in the chemical industry on major capital projects, and in consulting as a project manager on projects including: wastewater permitting, and remediation systems design, construction and operations.

Debbie was also part of the Fort Washington team who won J&J's 2016 Worldwide Environmental Sustainability Award for Environmental Excellence.

Debbie earned an MS in Civil Engineering (Environmental) from Carnegie-Mellon University, and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from University of Maryland. She is a licensed Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania and an Envision® Sustainability Professional credentialed by the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure.
