As Executive Vice President of Environment, Health, Safety & Sustainability at J.M. Huber Corporation, Don Young reports directly to the CEO as well as having leadership responsibilities with the EHS&S Committee of the Board of Directors. He is responsible for the development and execution of a comprehensive sustainability strategy that is consistent with Huber's guiding principles.
Don's measurable objectives in sustainability strategy include: sustaining world-class occupational and PSM safety performance; diversity and inclusion expectations; investment in a global community/philanthropy program; double digit energy, water and carbon intensity reduction; Zero Waste to Landfill expectations for manufacturing sites; sustainability performance expectations in the supply chain; incorporation of sustainability characteristics in the NPD process; expectations for incorporating sustainability considerations into the design of CapEx projects; and revision of the capital deployment decision-making process to embed sustainability expectations.
