Shannon Slavens, Senior Environmental Manager; CVS Health Corp.

Shannon Slavens provides oversight and monitors environmental compliance for CVS Health facilities across the United States. This includes all compliance activities associated with regulatory inspections at over 10,000 locations, including over 9800 retail pharmacies, 20 Distribution Centers, 1100 Minute Clinics, 37 Specialty and Mail Order Pharmacies, 90 Infusion Pharmacies, and 160 Long Term Care Pharmacies. Her team tracks all regulatory inspections and manages all correspondence with regulators in all 50 states (plus D.C. and Puerto Rico).

Prior to joining CVS Health in 2015, she worked as an environmental compliance professional in the semiconductor manufacturing and cement manufacturing industries for 15 years. In these manufacturing environments, she developed environmental compliance programs associated with air permitting, site stormwater management, EPCRA and TSCA compliance, hazardous waste management, and compliance auditing. She also developed and managed ISO 14001 programs in each industry.

Shannon holds a B.A. in Environmental Studies from California State University, San Bernardino and is a Certified Hazardous Material Manager. Away from work, she can usually be found at the barn where she spends time re-training her off-the-track Thoroughbred for a second career as a hunter/jumper show horse.
