Stephanie Ortiz Watkins, Manager, Environmental Leases; BNSF Railway Co.

Stephanie Watkins is the Manager of Environmental Leases at BNSF Railway. Within the Environmental Department, she leads the Lease Inspection Program, which was implemented to minimize risk and liability associated with tenant operations on leased parcels owned by BNSF through periodic lease reviews, site inspections and follow-up communications. In this role, she manages lease reviews, inspections and customer follow-up actions with the collaborative support of corporate real estate, economic development, marketing and other key stakeholders. At BNSF, she is also a board member of the Hispanic Leadership Council, supporting outreach and development opportunities for both BNSF employees and the local community.

Stephanie is a graduate from Baylor University, where she received her B.S. in Biology and her M.S. in Environmental Science, where she performed research on air quality in Houston, Texas.
